What is Dowel Fixed?
Dowel fixed is the used of a small piece of cylindrical wood that when glued in place, provide a strong, durable woodworking joint.
How to Install in Single Sided Fittings?
Dowel fixed are simply glued in.
a) Dob of wood glue in each hole as well as the predrilled door holes
b) Insert the dowel into the handle holes.
c) Slide the glued dowels into the door holes
e) Clamp firmly until the glue is dry*
*Check the glue instructions for drying time
How to Install in Back to Back Fittings?
Dowel fixed are simply glued together.
a) Dob of wood glue in each hole.
b) Insert the dowel into the holes of one half.
c) Slide these glued dowels through the door holes
d) From the other side of the door attach the remaining handle to the dowels
e) Clamp firmly until the glue is dry*
